Pathway Guides are trained mentors who deliver structured weekly sessions, maintain boundaries, and document progress. Complete the application and screening steps below.

Collects basic information and verifies readiness to work with high-risk youth in a structured virtual setting.

Authorization Statement
I authorize Pathway Mentoring / Surge Ministries to conduct screening for eligibility to serve as a Guide. This may include identity verification and criminal history screening as permitted by law. I understand that refusal may affect eligibility to serve.
Guide Onboarding Training Outline Print
Training checklist to standardize delivery and safety.
Phase 1 — Orientation (2 Hours)
- Mission, vision, and program model
- Role expectations and reporting lines
- 90-day cohort structure
Phase 2 — Safety & Boundaries (1.5 Hours)
- Code of Conduct enforcement
- Confidentiality limits + mandatory reporting
- No private messaging with youth
- Two-adult rule when possible
Phase 3 — Digital Operations (1 Hour)
- Zoom facilitation standards
- Managing disruptions and escalation
- Documentation and incident reporting
Phase 4 — Accountability Framework (1 Hour)
- Stabilize → Redirect → Execute
- Correct without shaming
- Track progress weekly
Phase 5 — Shadow Session + Debrief
- Observe a live session
- Debrief with Program Lead
- Approval to lead sessions
